The great and the good of the UK watch industry were in attendance at a glittering ceremony at Altitude 360 in London, to hear the unveiling of the nominees for the first-ever and much anticipated WatchPro Hot 100.
This year’s inaugural showpiece, organised in association with the Company of Master Jewellers, took place on the 2nd July 2013 at the iconic Altitude 360 at the top of the Millbank Tower in Westminster. The invited guests were able to enjoy stunning panoramic views across the capital city and along the River Thames from one of London’s most spectacular venues.
Among those being recognised for their hard work within the UK watch industry was WatchHub’s very own Robin Kamal, who was nominated for his tireless efforts both behind the scenes and at the forefront of what WatchHub has achieved.
This year’s carefully created Hot 100 list of ‘movers and shakers’ within the watch industry, in which Robin Kamal was included, was revealed to the delight of nominees, industry leaders, colleagues and spectators who were in attendance on the evening. Drinks and delicious canapés were served to those lucky enough to be on the guest list, which included the cream of the crop from the UK Watch world.
A glossy collection of photos had also been compiled in a souvenir book to showcase the profiles and personalities of the people who have been the mechanism in making the UK such a crucial market for watches around the world.
The WatchPro Hot 100, which will become an annual event, will continue to celebrate the top 100 people who an expert panel will deem to have had the greatest impact on the Watch industry in the UK.
Elsewhere, the first London Watch Show saw retailers, brands, watchmakers and journalists congregate at Freemason’s Hall on Great Queen Street, for a two-day watch-only dedicated trade show, the first of its kind in the UK.
